Autumns of Vinkovci: An Event for All Lovers of Tradition and Folk Customs

Autumns of Vinkovci have been a well-known event that gathers numerous local and foreign guests to this town on Bosut. It's no secret that every year in mid-September, the city is teeming with cheerful guests who enjoy walking through the decorated streets and squares.

Enjoying the traditional parade, good food, and Slavonian brandy - rakija, all the guests are happy to revisit the event. This year's 57th Autumns of Vinkovci will be held from September 9 to 18, and what awaits you in the rich program is presented below.

The Program Represents the Best of Tradition, Music, and Folk Costumes

Visitors will enjoy folklore evenings from September 9 to 14, where various cultural and artistic societies will perform on stage. September 10 and 11 are reserved for Children's autumn, where you can enjoy their performances and follow a parade of children's folklore groups. The ceremonial opening of this year's manifestation will be held on September 15 with the theme sentence "Plain, all in an ear of golden grain!" which best represents the atmosphere in which the event is held. Finally, at the very end of the 57th Autumns of Vinkovci, guests will enjoy a ceremonial parade of participants, a show of horse carriages and riders, and the event's closing ceremony.

There Is No Shortage of Fun!

The city's streets will be complete, and more seats will be sought every night in the cafes. Concerts by popular performers, tambura players, and bands will again fill city squares and parks this year. We recommend a visit to the Wine Alley (Vinski šor), where you will enjoy sipping the most delicious white and red wines, and it is precisely at such a place that fun is guaranteed. The youngest will enjoy the amusement park, full of carousels and different stands this year. In addition to the classic carousels, there is also a "Sky view" waiting for you in town - at the height of 35 meters, you will have the best view of the panorama of Vinkovci!

How to Plan Your Stay in Vinkovci?

And finally - where to sleep in Vinkovci? There are many choices. Hotels and private accommodations eagerly await their guests. For those who prefer a hotel stay, we recommend Slavonija, Admiral, and Villa Lenije hotels, where you will be pleasantly surprised by the richly furnished rooms and the proximity to all the city's attractions. If you prefer to stay in private accommodation, Apartment Pejić is located near the main square, and guests can expect a modern, fully equipped, three-room apartment.

Food and drink are one of the main reasons why tourists love Vinkovci - homemade dried meat products, fruits and vegetables, and various kinds of cheese are just some of the delicacies you will encounter. Slavonian meat stew (čobanac), freshwater fish stew (fiš), and rotisserie roast pork (odojak) are traditional specialties you simply must try. We wish you a pleasant stay and even better fun!
