Game of Thrones tour Croatia offers you the next best thing, a fully immersive walking tour of all the filming locations you saw throughout the show.
Game of Thrones! You are probably humming that epic intro music right now, and that's the setting we were trying to achieve here —first thing's first. Yes, maybe the final season didn't live up to our expectations, but we can't deny the fact of how much we enjoyed and cared for the show and its characters. Many moments are etched on our minds forever, whether good, bad or downright ugly. Remember what happens when Rains of Castamere are played? We know you do; you were shocked to your very core! What about when Joffrey takes a sip of wine at his wedding? You were happy when he did that, weren't you? What did Olly do to Jon Snow? We all hated that kid. We also watched Daenerys grow from a scared girl to a fearless queen, enjoyed the antics of Arya and the Hound, knew what Jon Snow didn't, and many more. We could list the most memorable moments, but the show is so filled with them that it would be one long night of reading.
Also, House of Dragon, a prequel to Game of Thrones, has been released! And it was also filmed in Croatia, so why not explore the locations of both shows? Both shows were filmed in various locations in Croatia, so let's start with the most famous one.
Dubrovnik
Spectacular city walls and the old city have been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1979, so no wonder the showrunners wanted to film there. Dubrovnik "played "King's Landing and some locations in Quarth. Fort Lovrijenac was Red Keep, Pile Harbour was King's Landing docks, Pile Gates was also King's Landing gates, and many other locations perfectly depicted George R.R. Martin's vision. And how can we forget Saint Ignatius Church and Jesuit Staircase, the only places in the world where it is perfectly acceptable to yell "SHAME! "from the top of your lungs! Dubrovnik walking tour lasts about 2,5 hours and will take you through all the places that were shown in the series.

Split
Like Dubrovnik, many of Split's historical centers are under UNESCO's protection. The historical complex consists of Diocletian's palace built in the late 3rd century A.D., a cathedral from the Middle Ages built using materials from ancient roman mausoleums, Romanesque churches, and fortifications from the 12th and 13th centuries, and many palaces made in styles varying from gothic to renaissance and baroque. Indeed an excellent site for depicting a glorious city such as Meereen, the most fantastic city in Slaver's Bay.
This Game of Thrones tour will take you through all the filming locations in and around Split and will last about 5 hours. It seems much, but don't worry; there will be food! In Split, you will explore 1700-year-old Diocletian's Palace, a.k.a. streets of Meeren, and also see where Daenerys kept her dragons. After that, you will be comfortably transferred to the village of Klis and its fortress on a cliff with a magnificent view of Split, nearby islands, and the Adriatic sea. The guide will tell you which scenes were filmed here, and then you will go to Žrnovnica village, which has an abandoned quarry that was used as the front of the walls of Meereen.
And the last stop is the 600-year-old watermill on the Žrnovnica river, which is still operational and was also used as a Game of Thrones filming location. It is also the location of your well-earned meal. You will enjoy traditional food such as peka or fish with homemade bread from the mill and some fantastic local wine.
Šibenik
As you probably predicted, Šibenik is also on the UNESCO list. But with two sites, which only a handful of cities in the world have, like London or Beijing. Those sites are St. Nicholas Fortress, a 16th-century Venetian fort located on a small island in St. Anthony Channel that leads to Šibenik. In the city center, a spectacular 15th-century St. Jacob's Cathedral, the most prominent building made entirely of stone, without using any bricks or wood. It was also built using techniques way ahead of its time, four centuries to be exact! And it was only appropriate to use this building as one of the most important buildings in the series: the Iron Bank of Braavos. Tour will also take you to St. Nicholas Fortress, which was used as the tunnels of the House of Undying. Another fortress you'll visit, St. John's, is located above Šibenik, where the fighting pit of Meereen was located. It also offers a beautiful view of Šibenik, which was used as the Free City of Braavos. And, of course, you will get to walk the same streets as Arya was when she was training to be the Faceless killer.
These tours will not only show you the world of Game of Thrones but also get you familiar with the rich history of Croatia, so whether you are a fan or not; it is well worth booking your tour and stepping into the fantasy world!
