Here you will learn about the history of chocolate that goes back to the ancient Indians of South and Central America. Sit in a luxurious baroque palace, surrounded by centuries-old porcelain, and feel like chocolate kings and queens. You will also hear exciting stories such as who invented rice chocolate, who brought chocolate to Europe, who was the first to make chocolate in Croatia, who used cacao as money, and more.
Every room in Willy Wonka Land… oh sorry, the Chocolate Museum Zagreb tells a new story, has its taste, and brings new astonishing historical insights. Walk through a mystical rainforest and take breathtaking pictures, feel like a kid in a magical Willy Wonka factory, or try to grid a cocoa bean and stir up a chocolate beverage like the Maya. You will want to pinch yourself to make sure you aren't dreaming.

You can't go to the Chocolate Museum without trying the delicious treats. That's why they prepared a sample box with nine types of chocolate – roasted cocoa bean drops of dark, milk, white, and ruby chocolate- and a spoon to try four versions of delicious molten chocolate: chocolate liquor, dark, milk, and white chocolate. In addition, in the Museum's chocolate boutique, the most equipped chocolate shop in the capital city of Zagreb, you can buy delicious artisan and craft chocolates and pralines from Croatian chocolatiers as souvenirs or gifts for your friends.
The Museum also has an amazing workshop with chocolatiers of the Chocolate Museum Zagreb called "Sweet secrets of chocolate crafting," where you can learn how to make your pralines, how to melt chocolate, work with the filling, and discover the little secrets of great chocolate makers. But sadly, it is currently available only in Croatian. We're keeping our fingers crossed that they soon do it in English too.
