On one side, surrounded by the Nature Park Lonja Field, and on the other by the magnificent Moslavina mountain, rises Moslavina - a micro-region in the central part of Croatia, which year after year attracts an increasing number of interested tourists. Lonja Field and Kutina are the must-see stops when visiting this part of the country where enjoying white wine and homemade food is guaranteed!
Lonja Field and All Its Charms
An area of unique biodiversity, the largest territory of the floodplain, and one of the few places where traditional grazing still lives - all these features adorn Lonja Field, a Nature Park that, due to all its peculiarities, you must visit. The force of nature made Lonja Field not only a Croatian but also a world attraction. Floods that occur several times yearly defend against water overflowing into nearby populated areas. The floods also left their mark on the vegetation, so you will enjoy the holm oak and ash view as you walk through the Lonja Field. In addition to beautiful flora, the park also offers representative fauna. Birds, fish, and livestock - all live here in perfect symbiosis.

Čigoč - The First European Stork Village
When your road takes you to Lonja Field, don't forget to visit Čigoč - the world-famous and recognized stork village you must have already heard of! It is interesting to note that there are more storks than residents in this village! On a leisurely walk around the village, you will discover attractive, traditionally built wooden houses that often have a nest - home to the beautiful birds for which the village is most famous. The importance of this locality is also given by the fact that Čigoč was the first declared stork village in Europe.
Last but Not Least - Beautiful Kutina
After visiting Lonja Field, don't forget about Kutina - the largest town in this region. By visiting Kutina, you are traveling through history and getting to know it in different centuries. From prehistoric and ancient artifacts stored in the museum to beautiful baroque examples of sacred architecture - it is impossible not to return from this city full of impressions! However, don't be in a hurry and leave enough time for this Moslavina beauty, because in addition to history and culture, it is also the right choice for admirers of the good gastronomic offer.
In addition to the ever-present street food, you will find a fragrant and tasty selection of authentic homemade dishes. The offer of restaurants and eateries is colorful, and there is no shortage of cafes and pubs where young people relax in the evenings. We advise you to dine on the popular dish - carp on forks. It is a unique way of preparing this highly valued and nutritious freshwater fish, whose popularity is increasing in the continental part of Croatia. Although sea fish is more often present on the menus of renowned restaurants, it is delicious to try something homemade with an interesting and unusual recipe. Such a delightful dinner is best finished with a glass of autochthonous škrlet - a light white wine that all inhabitants of Moslavina are proud of! After the first sip, you will immediately understand why this is so.
