Embark on a New Year’s Adventure Like No Other‍

The day before New Year's Eve, you can head on a trip starting from Brod Moravice, the smallest county in Gorski Kotar. After a relaxing walk through the forest, you'll reach an awe-inspiring viewpoint that invites you to take stunning photos. You'll learn about the rich cultural heritage and local customs on the way back. In the true spirit of Croatian hospitality, the trip ends at a gathering with the locals in the park, with lots of fun activities and live music.

The New Year's Eve morning trip will start at the village of Fužine, where you can join one of two groups. The first group will take a walk around the beautiful Bajer lake, whereas the other will take a hiking trip to the top of the Preradović hill (892 m) and enjoy a majestic view over the lake Bayer, Fužine, and the vast Lika plains.

You'll end up at the same final destination regardless of your route. The famous New Year's Eve celebration at Fužine's Christmas market starts with a countdown until noon, followed by a full-day program with live music, authentic local food, mulled wine, and plenty of fun activities for the little ones.

If you've already made some healthy new year's resolutions, Lynx and Fox team has you covered! On the morning of January 1st, you can join a trip to Javorova Kosa, a hill that looks straight out of a fairy tale. On your walk through the enticing forest, you'll discover God's spring (Croatian: Božji studenac), which, according to the local legend, is an inexhaustible water source. Next, you can have a relaxing break at the Hansel and Gretel mountain house and the panoramic viewpoint. Afterward, you can join a small party at the center of Fužine, grab a bite and have a toast to the New Year with the locals.

All trips are family-friendly, and hiking trails suit children aged 6+.
