Fascinating World of Optical Illusions

Reality can be viewed in different ways. Although we have the most trust in our senses, they can sometimes be shaken. We all remember that famous The Dress photo that made the whole internet lost its mind over - was it blue and black, or white and gold? Likewise, the fascinating world of optical illusions is a game between our eyes and brain. Sometimes the things we see are not what they appear to be. But, then again, we love to be fooled like this, don't we? 

You know when you go to the museums, you always learn something new and get the answers to the questions you might have? Well, the Museum of Illusions in Zagreb will definitely make you think. We stood in front of some parts of the exhibition and asked ourselves ''How is this possible'' and just rubbed our eyes in disbelief. In one moment, we defied gravity; in the second, we were lost in the maze of mirrors. Kind of an Alice in Wonderland moment. And that's not all! There is a room where you can see your friend grow or shrink right before your eyes, a space where you can serve someone's head on a platter, and a room where you can climb up onto the ceiling. Insane stuff that will make you think, think twice, and then think again. And yes, you can take as many pictures, as much as you want. We captured pretty good ones, which will serve as proof when we describe this experience to our family and friends.

With over 70 exhibits, the Museum of Illusion will make you question yourself and see things your brain cannot understand. We came out with many questions but also learned a lot about perception, vision, and the human brain. What we loved is definitely the smart playroom with stimulating puzzles and games where you can challenge yourself and your brain. Super fun!

Museum of Illusions Zagreb

Museum of Illusions will surely delight all generations! The whole story started in 2015 when two creative friends, Tomislav Pamuković and Roko Živković, opened the first Museum of Illusions in Zagreb. Over the last seven years, the concept grew into a successful franchise spread to four continents, 22 countries, and 35 cities. New York, Chicago, Shanghai, Dubai, Paris, Madrid, Milan, Budapest, and Cairo are just a few. And the largest one is scheduled to open this spring in Las Vegas. Museum of Illusions is really a unique place full of amusing and awesome tricks, where you will not only learn many things about the brain but also have fun in the most unusual yet exciting way.
