Though modest in size, SHE House sits proudly in its hillside setting, facing south to bask in the sun’s warmth. Originally built nearly a century ago by Mila and Petar, their descendant renovated the home with care, preserving its rich history. Local craftsmen were brought in to retain the character of the old stone walls, wooden beams, and even the original furniture. The result is a seamless blend of old and new.

SHE House is divided into distinct spaces, each designed with a unique purpose, offering guests a journey through intimacy, sensuality, and history. As you step through the traditional stone gate, the secluded courtyard welcomes you into its tranquil embrace. This outdoor space, with its rustic stone fireplace and open kitchen, sets the tone for the experience ahead. Here, you can savor a meal under the sky, meditate, or simply enjoy a quiet moment on the restored terrace, where the connection between nature and comfort is seamlessly woven into the home’s ambiance.

Moving inside, the ground floor reveals the heart of the house, a space once used to store olive oil and wine, now transformed into a living area that exudes both rustic charm and modern elegance. The kitchen’s sleek concrete surfaces complement the rugged stone walls, while a minimalist concrete sofa echoes this fusion of styles. Every piece of furniture tells a story, from the stone dining table to the beams of reclaimed wood, each item thoughtfully chosen to enhance both function and aesthetic, creating a space that feels purposeful and deeply rooted in its surroundings.

As you ascend to the first floor, two distinct bedrooms unfold, each embodying contrasting energies. The masculine bedroom, with its darker palette and solid iron bed, speaks of strength and boldness, while a mirror on the ceiling introduces an element of sensual surprise. In contrast, the feminine bedroom floats in a softer, dreamlike atmosphere, with a bed suspended from thick nautical ropes and a vintage bathtub inviting relaxation.

Beyond these intimate spaces, the terrace opens up to a world of luxury. A heated pool with built-in jets offers a refreshing escape, shaded by the branches of a mulberry tree, rich in mythological symbolism. This outdoor haven, complete with a bar, provides a serene retreat where guests can unwind and take in the view. Above, the attic continues the theme of indulgence, offering a sauna and jacuzzi that invite relaxation and reflection, a perfect end to a day spent exploring the island.

Accessible through a secretive bar hidden by an old well, this room is an ode to the home’s blacksmithing heritage and feminine sensuality. It invites guests to explore their desires in privacy, a symbolic journey into the depths of imagination and self-discovery.

A Visionary Woman’s Project

SHE House is the brainchild of Dijana Žderić, who, along with her partner Ivo Baković, transformed this old family home into a sanctuary of pleasure and empowerment. Gifted to Ivo by his grandmother, Dijana took charge of the concept and design, drawing on her background as director of the island’s first entrepreneurial center. Dijana's vision was clear: to create a space that celebrates and empowers women.

SHE House isn’t just a home; it’s a statement. Through her work, Dijana aims to promote the strength and creativity of women, placing them at the center of attention and pleasure.
