The EduGarden: A Modern Green Thumb
Imagine going on a vacation without the worry of dried leaves or withering plants. Thanks to the EduGarden, that world is now within reach, and your green friends will be saved. This groundbreaking creation has earned three prestigious gold medals at the Innovation Fair in Geneva. Measuring just 35 centimeters in width, approximately 15 centimeters in depth, and with a height of up to 40 centimeters, this compact garden-in-a-box offers unparalleled versatility.
Sustainable Design and User-Friendly Features
The secret behind its success lies in the integration of LED technology, providing plants with a precisely calibrated spectrum of light optimized for their growth. With the user-friendly mobile application, you have complete control over the duration and intensity of the lighting, empowering you to create the perfect environment for your beloved greenery. But that's not all! The EduGarden takes care of watering your plants, too, utilizing capillary action to keep them nourished. By harnessing the forces of adhesion and cohesion within narrow tubes called capillaries, the plants receive just the right amount of water they need. The app also allows you to monitor temperature, humidity and even capture mesmerizing time-lapse recordings of your plants' growth.
Embodying an eco-conscious approach, the EduGarden is crafted from natural materials like wood and corn-based plastic, aligning with your sustainability goals. Its simplicity and affordability make it accessible to a wide range of users, ensuring that anyone can enjoy the benefits of nurturing plants in their living spaces.
Smart Garden Systems and EduGarden in Education
Recognizing the immense value of integrating technology into education, Smart Garden Systems developed the EduGarden specifically with educational institutions in mind.
''During the pandemic, while living in a student dormitory in Rijeka, we invested our free time learning new skills, developing various prototypes of the product we are currently discussing (EduGarden), and attending various start-up competitions. All that experience throughout two and a half years led us to a business opportunity where we developed a high-quality and competitive product. We won a public tender and are now delivering our first smart gardens to elementary schools in Croatia. Currently, our company consists of five members (programmers Nina Gnjidić and Tonio Ercegović, agronomist Iva Vaskić) along with several collaborating companies. We desire to see our smart garden in as many schools as possible one day because we believe that the new generations of young people want to see the purpose of what they are learning, and EduGarden provides precisely that experience.'' – stated the founders, Josip and Andrej
Expanding the Smart Garden Experience
However, they want to expand it to private households as well. As the global trend of smart plant cultivation gains momentum, particularly in regions with limited outdoor gardening conditions, Smart Garden Systems aspires to be the leading provider of smart gardening solutions worldwide, allowing anyone to experience the joy and benefits of nurturing plants smartly and sustainably. How amazing is that?
So, say goodbye to the struggles of maintaining a garden and embrace the future of plant cultivation with the EduGarden. Let your plants thrive effortlessly while you relish in the beauty of your own little botanical paradise.
