Organized by the Alice in Blockchains association, this two-day conference will delve into the future of the Internet and explore the potential and practical applications of blockchain technology, decentralized finance, NFTs, Web3 gaming, and the metaverse in our personal and business lives. Real-world examples, including the domestic project LAQO, a digital insurance endeavor that opened a metaverse museum in Decentraland, will be showcased. The conference aims to cater to existing enthusiasts and individuals eager to discover the vast potential offered by this rapidly evolving technology. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn through lectures, panel discussions, and workshops, uncovering the myriad applications that web3 brings to revolutionize everyday business.
Beyond its focus on industry trends, what sets this conference apart is its unique organization by a 100% female volunteer team from the Alice in Blockchains association. Their objective is to ensure female representation and leadership throughout the event.
"Our association's mission is to inspire women to explore their potential and become more prominent in the blockchain industry. We are proud to witness growing interest in this topic within our local community and, at our Web3 Tales conference, women will take the lead and contribute to the development of a decentralized and inclusive new generation of the Internet," stated Magda Milas, President of the Alice in Blockchains association.
In addition to the professional program, the conference will feature various side events, including the first NFT exhibition hosted by a cultural institution in Croatia. This exhibition, titled "Techno Healing - Finding Resilience and Well-Being in a Digital World," will showcase works by ten female artists from around the globe, exploring themes of feminism in the digital age. The exhibition will be open to the public free of charge at the Museum of Contemporary Art, placing Zagreb alongside major world cities like Paris, New York, and Berlin as a leader in digital art.
