Nestled in these stunning landscapes, Casa Nube isn't just a luxury villa—it's a modern architectural marvel. Featured in the New York Times and up for the Best Holiday Home in Europe award, it's a paradise inviting nature lovers like you to leave your worries behind and just unwind. The design, crafted by the owner, Filip Oblak, screams luxury living. Inside, there are three luxurious bedrooms, a sauna, a spa, and an impressive wine cellar. Plus, you'll find floor heating and AC everywhere for that cozy touch. Step outside, and there's this inviting porch next to a big pool and jacuzzi, hugged by a lush garden with local plants. Oh, and the name 'Casa Nube'? It means 'cloud house' in Italian, and it totally fits. Those glass walls? They beautifully reflect the wide sky and the fluffy clouds drifting by, capturing the dreamy vibe of this retreat spot.
Mrđina House
Location: Ugljan Island
Our next adventure takes us to the delightful world of tiny houses, with Mrđina House, a sweet stone cottage perched atop a Kalima hill on Ugljan Island. And, oh boy, the views! From here, you'll be treated to jaw-dropping sights of the Kornati Islands, Dugi Otok, and Iž. This eco-friendly gem runs on solar power, giving you all the electricity you need for a comfy stay. Inside, natural light floods the space, creating this cozy vibe that just blends perfectly with nature all around.
It might be petite, measuring around 18 square meters, but Mrđina House sure knows how to make the most of its space. There's a snug bedroom and a living room, perfect for about three people to chill. Oh, and the interior? Totally rocking that traditional style, with stone everywhere giving it that classic charm. Plus, there's this incredible sunbathing terrace and a garden equipped with a barbecue, so you can whip up some tasty grub while soaking up the outdoors with your favorite people.
Gorski Lazi
Location: Gorski Kotar
Our last stop takes us back in time to Gorski Lazi, a peaceful hamlet near Tršće in Gorski Kotar. This rustic gem, known as "Gorski Lazi," was originally built in 1860 and has undergone a meticulous renovation to retain its original, authentic charm. The antique furniture has been lovingly restored and is fully functional. Wooden floors, solid old oak and walnut furniture, exposed wooden beams, and details from the original stone walls create a timeless rustic atmosphere.
The ground floor boasts a hallway, living room, kitchen, dining area, and bathroom. Upstairs, you'll find two cozy bedrooms. The stone fireplace dominates the ground floor, creating the perfect setting for sipping cocoa and getting lost in your favorite book. The cottage can comfortably accommodate up to six people, making it an excellent choice for families or a group of friends.
