In April 2018, the studio was launched by Nikola Dužević and Borna Pavičić, marking the beginning of their story. To achieve this, a smaller annex was added, forming an L-shaped organization that expanded the available space and seamlessly integrated the house with its garden. Inside the large house, the studio preserved the stoneness of the interior while introducing an open-plan living concept. This departure from the traditional layout of old stone houses, with their corridors and small rooms, allows for a more energizing family environment, fostering a sense of togetherness and shared experiences.

The new annex, conceived as a leisure pavilion within the garden, boasts an inviting sofa and a gallery that creates an atmosphere of relaxation and appreciation for the surrounding Mediterranean landscape. In order to preserve the property's historical character, the old stone walls were meticulously restored, featuring new grouting and wooden shutters that emphasize their timeless beauty. In contrast, the small annex is covered in a soft traditional plaster, striking a delicate balance between rough and soft aesthetics.

The new facades of the Rustic Retreat, adorned with windows and double doors, follow a rational composition that harmoniously integrates with the context of the property. This thoughtful attention to detail highlights Morpharos' commitment to creating designs that are not only visually pleasing but also rooted in their surroundings.
